From Their Excellencies:

A copy of the budget for Birthday was sent to Ceridwen. We’ve had  a busy two months and have attended several events. Stierbach represents themselves well! We have a get-together on July 12th at Lions Park in Aquia Harbor we are also hosting a regional rapier practice. We are getting confirmation on getting heavy armored, but am waiting for Sir Bumi to confirm. Practices usually go from 1-4pm but we are also planning on having a barbecue lunch where people can bring their projects together. We have the space for thrown weapons if we can find a marshal. We have stables and can possibly host equestrian events in the future. There is a pavilion in the park but we will also bring our pavilion as well.

Updates from the Seneschal: There is not a lot to report this month. Lady Jenefer would like to congratulate Baron Dunstan on his Golden Dolphin given at Gem Joust! This weekend is University so we would encourage everyone to attend if able. Victory on the Vine is the weekend after. Jenefer and Thomas will be attending as proxies for Their Excellencies.

Exchequer: Not able to attend.

Chronicler: Genefe/Gaius/Richard/and Edward finally received their Webminister warrants from the Kingdom due to the backlog. Please consider writing content from your university classes for inclusion in next months newsletter.

Chatelaine: Not able to attend.

MoAS: Quarterly report submitted last Friday. We are putting forward a class on Greco-Roman kite class. We are looking forward to scheduling more through the summer months. There is an online class at the church this coming Thursday.

Herald: Nothing to report at this time but looking forward to helping people with their names.

Quartermaster: Everything is ok in inventory. If you have needs for Pennsic please contact me.

MoL: Looking forward to seeing people at Victory on the Vine. We have every martial discipline covered except for Rebated Steel. Pre-registration cuts off next Wednesday at midnight.

Webminister: Website is updated and we have warrants! We have 2 deputies and I am currently negotiating with the Kingdom Webminister to increase the cutoff date for my warrant which expires in November.

Old Business:

Holiday Faire: Tegan put a $500 deposit on the fairgrounds for an event that did not happen. Can we use this on Holiday Faire? Or give her a refund. I have received my event steward warrant but am waiting for the site contract.

New Business:

We have a bid for Baronial Birthday but cannot currently vote due to lack of quorum. The idea is “Joy of the Hunt” located in the 15th century. With equestrian and three-day camping. A torchlight tourney is planned for Saturday. Coarsing will happen as well and the steward has staff all put together. The owner of the winery is very enthusiastic about the event. There will be a picnic feast. Budget to be approved by Financial Committee by July.

The storage unit contains large wooden boxes that are mounting blocks for horse riding. We are considering allowing the barony to have that floor space back as we can utilize these blocks at a permanent location. We might want to reach out to the original owners to see if they want the items back before we donate them.

Closing Remarks:

We attended On Target this past weekend and it was a great event at a small but pleasant site. The next event we will be doing besides University is the Baronial Quarterly Gathering in July and then Pennsic but we will be attending only War Week. Court needs to be on Monday because we will leave on Tuesday. If you have award recommendations, please send those in as we have two events coming up.

The meeting was adjourned at 7:46pm. Next meeting is scheduled for July 14th same time.
