From their Excellencies:
Hello Everyone! In the past month, we had the chance to attend in-person University. Baron Dunstan took classes on how to be a Baron 🙂 while Her Excellency taught two classes! We also attended Storvik novice which was great fun. Mistress Esperanza was given her writ to be the fourth member of the Order of the Mark!
We completed the inventory on Sunday. Thank you to everyone who came out to help! We completed the inventory quickly and efficiently.
Updates from the Seneschal:
The next Curia will take place on September 14th. If you are interested in attending Curia, mark it on your calendars. These meetings are where kingdom law is debated and adopted.
Officer Reports:
QuarterMaster: An official inventory was completed this past Sunday! Thank you to everyone who came out.
Exchequer:
The property listing for the storage locker is complete. Thank you again to everyone who came out to help. Magnus has the hand-written sheets from the inventory and will hopefully update the digital record soon where it will be in our Baronial Dropbox.
Five items were found in the storage locker that the Barony no longer needs:
A fire starter kit that includes a bow
A leather frog sword-hanger
Three rolls of white lights
A green octagonal fire-pit
A motion was put forward by Baroness Genefe to donate these items to the Silent Auction. The motion was seconded. The vote was eight in favor and none opposed. The motion passed.
Mistress Ceridwen and Master RIchard will also dispose of two dead marine batteries.
We are looking for a deputy exchequer!
Knights Marshall: No report.
Minister of the list: No report.
MOAS: We are having classes! Our next class will be a Zoom meeting focused on Pennsic prep. July 24th will be a class on Small Pouches at the church. Master Richard’s class will be taught at Pennsic.
For those of you who are not heading to Pennsic, we will be having a gathering at the Church. We will have inside and outside space. It will be a potluck! Date coming soon.
Just a reminder the in-person classes are generally held at Bethel Lutheran Church (room B7) 8712 Plantation Ln, Manassas, VA 20110.
Herald: Not much new 🙂 We have a couple names getting ready for submission – Lady Katherine will be getting back to you soon!
Chronicler: The blog continues. Newsletters are being sent to Kingdom as they are published 🙂 Send Genefe content for the blog please. (chronicler@stierbach.atlantia.sca.org)
Chatelaine: Lady Runa does not have email access yet. We are waiting for the kingdom to return her warrant. She is still looking at the demo we mentioned last month in October called the Ravenswood Fair.
WebMinister: The website is doing fine. Please continue to submit materials for the blog so we can get that out to the populace!
Old Business:
Baronial Birthday Update:
Lady Rita is moving forward to get things ready for Baronial Birthday. We are on track. SCORE is up and registration is live. Our website is up to date. We are working on the map of the site. If you are in need of hay bales for your part of the event – let Lady Rita know. We are still looking for someone to be in charge of parking and a few other volunteer positions. Lady Rita sent out a list of positions that still need to be filled on our Baronial Mailing list (Sign up on our Baronial website!). So far, everything is good to go with the site!
New Business:
We have a (revised) bid for Holiday Faire from Lady Katherine Ravenshill! The new budget was very similar to this past year’s event budget with some small changes. Baroness Genefe put forth a motion to approve the budget as presented for Holiday Fair. Lady Rita seconded. A vote was taken with seven in favor and none opposed. The motion passed! Thank you to Lady Katherine for taking on this monumental challenge.
Closing Remarks from their Excellencies
PLEASE SUBMIT REWARD RECOMMENDATIONS! We accept emails, messages, and award recommendations through the esp. The esp is really the best way to get us info but we will take what we can get! Send us stuff and tell us all the great things that are going on! Thank you to those who are sending us messages 🙂
For those of you joining us at Pennsic – join us for opening ceremonies on Saturday afternoon of the middle weekend AND our Baronial Court and Ice Cream Social on Monday evening of War Week.
Our Baronage is heading to Aethelmarc this weekend to witness the elevation of a new peer! Stierbach represent 🙂
Meeting adjourned at 8:04 pm.
