From their Excellencies:
Happy New Year from Their Excellencies! We had a great time at Twelfth Night. We attended as Boreas, the God of the North Wind and Orithia, his wife in completely white Greek garb complete with icicle crowns. A great time was had by all. The event included a snowball fight and fantastic merchants. We purchased a pair of Savonarola chairs for ourselves which we will be using as travel thrones (Big thanks to those of you who have dealt with the Baronial Travel thrones – take a break!). These are our personal chairs so we will be taking them with us when we step down.
Updates from the Seneschal:
From the kingdom: Event Stewards, if an event site does not allow alcohol – this needs to be clearly posted with the event description using the phrasing No alcohol permitted on site. If you find that anyone is at your event and they have alcohol and you know that that event is supposed to be no alcohol, you are within your authority to have them leave immediately.
During the court at Holiday Faire, Duke Logan was exiled for the remainder of this reign, which means he is not allowed to attend any events in Atlanta. He cannot participate in any meetings. He cannot participate on any official discussion lists. So I just want everyone to be aware of that, and that will end at the end of this reign unless their highnesses choose to extend it for their reign.
I will be setting up an Officers Facebook Messenger Group in case I need to get a hold of everyone quickly. Officers – please look for those invites. Officers whose warrants are expiring this year please contact the Seneschal and let her know whether you are stepping down or planning to continue. All officers should also submit a copy of their current warrens to the official Baronial Seneschal email account.
Officer Reports
Exchequer:
All of our checks were written for Holiday Faire last month. A check was written to Master Bumi for fighter equipment. We also reimbursed the trailer property taxes. We received the SCORES check from Baronial Birthday and the PayPal check from Holiday Faire. We should be updating our signature card with the bank soon. We have no outstanding events right now!
A reminder that any deposits should be made with 48 business hours after receiving events funds. Mistress Ceridwen should be listed on your reservationist for all Baronial events moving forward. Lady Rita requested a check to pay for our space at Bethel Church. Arrangements were made to reimburse her for the $150.00.
Knights Marshall:
Sir Bumi reports that he has receive the $1200 requested for loaner gear and equipment.
Minister of the list:
Lord Perry will not be able to MOL at Defending the Gate. He requests that anyone interested in the position let him know. He is also looking for MOL volunteers for Ice Castles and Ymir.
MOAS:
Lady Rita reported a wonderful Holiday Potluck gathering before the holidays. There was good food and good company! Classes and activities for the coming year have been sent to the web minister and chronicler. There is still space available if you would like to lead a class or activity,

Herald: Lady Katherine is digging back into some Heraldry submissions. The Court Report for Holiday Faire has to be resubmitted due to a glitch in the new website. This month in two weeks is known virtual known world heraldic and scribe symposium!
Chronicler: The blog continues. Newsletters are being sent to Kingdom as they are published 🙂 Send Genefe content for the blog please. (chronicler@stierbach.atlantia.sca.org)

Chatelaine: Absent. No report.
WebMinister:
The annual report is in. We have added two new emails to the addresses for the Barony (one for reservationist and one for deputy exchequer). Everything seems to be running smoothly.
Quartermaster:
Magnus reports no changes since our last meeting. Their Excellencies plan to return Little White to the storage locker within the next month.
Old Business:
Coronation will take place April 4th at the Fredericksburg Fairgrounds. More details coming next month. The event steward did share the current budget for this event with a reminder for those of you that may not know, the way the kingdom funds the activities that they do is by the profits from kingdom level events. They take a share of the profits from these events and that helps them create their annual fund of money that they need to cover their expenses. The hosting group gets 50% of the profits, and the kingdom gets 50% of the profits.
New Business:
Defending the Gate: Mistress Helena will be autocrating Defending the Gate this year. She is looking for volunteers to support the Canton. She has a rapier marshal and a heavy marshal but is looking for a head MOL and an archery marshal. She is also in need of someone to direct parking and a hall steward. The theme of their year’s event is mercenaries! There will be an A&S display of anything mercenary related. It’s going to be a good event so come help us make it happen!

Closing Remarks from their Excellencies
Their Excellencies invite the populace to join them at Kingdom A&S. We think it’s been a couple of years since we’ve had a really strong, baronial presence in terms of displays and things. We have so many amazing artisans here. We would like to officially really encourage people to think about what they can bring to display or maybe even to compete, because Kingdom Arts and Sciences is always such an awesome event. We are always just incredibly astonished at how much talent we have in our kingdom, and a lot of that is here in our barony. We would love to see as many people do that as possible.
We understand that people may be stretched a bit thin in March with Defending the Gate AND Coronation back to back weekends. So if anybody in this meeting knows people who, might be willing to help at one or the other or possibly both, please please do contact, Helena or Jennefyr and so that we can really, make make the barony shine because what a wonderful thing that we are being, so hospitable two weekends in a row.
PLEASE SUBMIT REWARD RECOMMENDATIONS! We accept emails, messages, and award recommendations through the esp. The esp is really the best way to get us info but we will take what we can get!
